Students, Parents, & Educators
Looking for books on a particular topic? Check out our Subject Guide. This features books on particular topics available within the Wayne County Public Library System. Books in this guide are for preschool and early elementary children.
Educators may request library materials at any Wayne County Public Library location. Requests may be made in person, by phone, or online using the Teacher Loan Request Form. The Wayne County Public Library cannot guarantee the availability of all requested titles. Please allow up to two weeks for available items to be delivered to your library. If materials are obtained from another library system, the loan periods for that library will be in effect. Extended loan periods are not available for items from other systems.
Have a research assignment for your class? Visit our Assignment Alert page to let us know and we will gather relevant materials for your students to use while visiting the library.
The Wooster Branch houses two special collections. Check out our Big Books available for classroom use. Financial Literacy Teacher Trunks contain books, activities, and games that focus on financial lessons appropriate for preschool through fourth grade students. Items in neither of these collections may be placed on hold, but they may be requested to be sent to any Wayne County Library branch for pick up by calling the Children’s Department (330-804-4663). All materials must be returned to a Wayne County Public Library location.
All Wayne County Public Library locations wish to establish a strong partnership with our local schools. Library personnel will be available to host class visits to the library. We may be available for story times, book talks, Right to Read activities, and other special events at your school as staff time permits. Please call your local library to discuss how we can work together for the benefit of the children in your school.3
