Collaborative Castle Inspired by the Art of Mary Blair Month of June [Wooster] Mary Blair (1911–1978) was an American artist, animator, and designer. She is best known for her work on Disney’s Alice in Wonderland. Throughout the month of June, artists of all ages can stop by the Adult Department and color a square that will be used to create a collaborative castle inspired by Mary Blair’s Queen of Hearts castle. Popsicle Stick Extravaganza Months of June and July [Wooster] Artists of all ages are invited to decorate one side of a popsicle stick for a collaborative project. Grab a popsicle stick, draw/paint/bedazzle however you wish, and then return the popsicle stick to either the Adult or Children’s departments. The completed project will be displayed in the Wooster Main Library. WoosterCrafts Craft Month Display Month of June [Wooster] Crafters and artists of all ages throughout Wayne County submitted their works to our third annual WoosterCrafts show. Visit the Wooster Library to view all these amazing pieces throughout the month of June. DIY Garden Steppingstones* Saturday, June 7 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM [Shreve] Create your own steppingstone using quickdrying concrete and natural materials to decorate. Tiny Art Show June 10 – July 22 [Creston] Visit the Creston Branch to pick up a tiny canvas to create your very own masterpiece. Return your completed work by July 1, including the title of the work, artist name and age, and a brief description. Tiny artworks will be displayed July 8 through July 22. Juneteenth Pizza & Story Time Thursday, June 19 from 12 – 1 PM [Wooster] Join us for a special Juneteenth book reading and book giveaway with Art of Inclusion and the NAACP.
