Teacher Loans
Who can get an Educator Card?
Any educator that does not already have a teacher or educator card at another CLEVNET library, and whose personal library card is in good standing, may apply for an educator card. The educator will be required to show current identification and current school identification.
Parents that home-school their child may apply for a card if they present a letter from the State of Ohio or the online school their child is attending for the current year. The Educator Card will expire yearly. Although you will not need to fill out a new application you will be asked to verify your information for the current school year. The patron’s personal card must remain in good standing.
What can be checked out and what are the loan periods?
Print, audio, and audio-visual material owned by WCPL (excluding express materials) may be checked out for a six-week initial loan period. The materials may be renewed for one additional six-week period if there is no one waiting for the material.
Materials from other Clevnet Libraries may be checked out on an Educator Card. However, all materials owned by other libraries are subject to the owning libraries’ circulation policies, including fine policies
What about charges?
Patrons with Educator Cards are responsible for lost and damaged materials charges. WCPL is a fine free library, however, some exclusions may apply.
