Business & Career Center

Business & Career Center

We’re open for your business!

Our business and workforce development collection is committed to providing resources to entrepreneurs, individual investors, job seekers and the Wayne County business community.  Small business owners and other entrepreneurs can gain assistance with researching their industry and market outlook, accessing sample business plans and learning about area organizations that provide business counseling and support.

The Wayne County Wiki – Business Portal started as a history database of many of the businesses located in Wayne County, Ohio, both historic and current. To add information about your business or any organization that you are familiar with, visit our Business Portal.

We are partners with Akron SCORE  (Service Corps of Retired Executives). SCORE is available for one-on-one counseling and we host regular business programs.

The Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce has teamed with the Ohio Small Business Development Center of Kent State University to offer Small Business Counseling.  Workshops are held monthly, with the exception of December and June.

The Grant, Business & Career is located upstairs at the Main library in Wooster. Stop by the Adult Services desk for assistance.

The Center offers:

  • 2 Dedicated computer workstations (request access at the Adult Services desk)
  • Foundation Directory (also available on public computer lab stations and library WiFi)
  • Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Elements 13, and Acrobat
  • LaserJet printer for professional-grade materials
  • The Wayne County Public Library subscribes to the following business magazines and newspapers in print format.
