- If you accept the license agreement, click 'I Agree'.
The installation file is downloaded and displayed in the 'Download history'. - Click the file to install OverDrive Media Console for Android.
You may receive a message that says 'For security, your phone is set to block installation of applications not sourced in Android Market.' If you receive this message, adjust your Settings as follows…
A dialog box opens and prompts you to confirm you want to install OverDrive Media Console for Android.
- Click 'Settings'.
The 'Application settings' dialog box opens. - Check the box next to 'Unknown sources'.
A warning message is displayed. - Click 'OK'.
A green check mark is displayed. - Click 'back' to return to the 'Download history' page and click the file to begin install of OverDrive Media Console for Android.
- Click 'Install'.
OverDrive Media Console for Android is installed. - Select 'Open' to open OverDrive Media Console, or 'Done' to complete the process and return to the 'Download history' page.

iTunes opens and displays the OverDrive Media Console page in the App Store. Click the 'Free App' button.
You are prompted to sign in to the iTunes Store. - Enter your Apple ID and Password and click the 'Get' button.
iTunes downloads OverDrive Media Console for iPhone. When the download is complete the application is displayed in the 'Apps' section of iTunes. - Connect your iPod touch®, iPhone® or iPad™ to your computer.
iTunes syncs your device and installs OverDrive Media Console for iPhone. Disconnect your device.

- Windows XP/VISTA/7 Follow the prompted instructions to open the Literati folder. Open the "Desktop Installers" folder. Find the "Windows" folder and double-click the "Desktopinstaller.exe" file inside. Follow the instructions to download and install the latest version of the Kobo Desktop Application.
- MAC OS X The Literati will mount in your Find application. Open the "Desktop Installers" folder. Find the "Mac OS X" folder and double-click the "DesktopInstaller.app" file inside. This will download the latest version of the Kobo Desktop Application for Mac OS X. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the software by dragging-and-dropping the Kobo Desktop Application to your Application to your Applications folder.

ON YOUR PC OR MAC COMPUTERInstallation of Adobe Digital Editions softwareThe following instructions details how to install the Adobe Digital Editions application. These instructions applies to all versions of the Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. The application is installed personally for each individual user. Go to Adobe Digital Editions download page. In the bottom left corner, a button marked “Install” will be displayed. In case this button is not visible, you first need to install Flash Player. Click the “Install” button. Confirm that you want to install Adobe Digital Editions by clicking “Install” once more. Click “Yes” to start the installation of Adobe Digital Editions. Downloading the installation package to your computer may take some time. Once the installation files have been downloaded, the installer application will launch. Click “I Agree” to install these files on your computer. Once the files are installed, Adobe Digital Editions will launch and display a settings dialogue. Click “Continue” to configure Adobe Digital Editions. You will be asked whether you would like to activate your Adobe Digital Editions with your Adobe ID. If you have an Adobe ID, enter your ID and password and click “Authorize Computer”. If you want to create an Adobe ID, click “Get an Adobe ID online”. If you do not want to use an Adobe ID, click “Don’t Authorize Computer”. Finally, click “Activate”

The following instructions details how to register an Adobe ID. This registration is free of charge. By clicking the “Get an Adobe ID online” link in the installation program you will be taken to Adobe’s registration page. Click “Create an Adobe Account”. A form will be displayed. Enter your information into the form; the fields marked with an asterix are mandatory. Once you have entered your information, click “Continue”. If your entered information is valid, a message will be displayed stating that the registration was successful. You can now enter your Adobe ID and password in Adobe Digital Editions and then clicking “Authorize”. All subsequently downloaded e-books will be authorised with your Adobe ID; if you install Digital Editions in an other device and enter the same Adobe ID, it will be possible to copy your books to this other device.
Browsing & Selecting Titles
At the top of your results, you can re-sort by title [default], creator, release date, most popular, or date added to site.
You have 30 minutes to complete your checkout before the eBook is returned to the library's collection.- Browse the CLEVNET eBook collection by:
- Quick Search; or
- Choose Browse eBooks and then narrow your choice by subject; or
- Choose Collections, the pick one of the following: All Adobe PDF, All Adobe EPUB, New--Adobe EPUB Titles, or eBook Newly Available
- Make sure the title is in the correct format.
- Once title is selected to download, click "Add to SelectList" located on the right side of the entry.
Checking Out and Downloading eBook Titles
NOTE: If "Join the Waiting List" is listed as an option, this means all of the electronic copies of the books are in use. To reserve a copy, click "Join the Waiting List" on the right side of the entry. If you are not already logged in, the system will prompt you for your library card number and PIN.- Click "Proceed to Checkout." If not already logged in, the system will prompt you for your library card number and PIN.
- After choosing your lending period, click "Confirm Checkout" and then "Download."
You can manage the lending period using the drop-down menu. Now, transfer the title using the "Download" button under the item. When asked "Do you want to open or save this file, select "Open." The title will automatically open in Adobe Digital Editions. If it doesn't automatically open, locate the downloaded file, which ends in ".acsm", double-click it and select Adobe Digital Editions to open it.
CONNECT READER TO COMPUTERThe first time you do this, you will have to authorize the device with your Adobe ID to be able to transfer protected content to and from the eReader. Transferring an eBook to Your Kobo- Click on the Library View (the icon of bookshelves upper left) within Adobe Digital Editions. Titles you have downloaded are listed on the right. If you have a lot of titles, you may click on "Borrowed Items." Drag and drop the title you would like to transfer onto the Kobo icon below the Bookshelves.
- You will see the file copy to the Kobo. The title is now transferred to the device.
- ON A PC: click "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the lower right of your monitor. Then click the "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device" box. When you see "Safe to Remove Hardware", you may detach the Kobo from your computer.
- ON A MAC: Unmount/eject the Kobo using the Finder before unplugging. Detach the Kobo from your computer.
- Touch the menu icon at the bottom of your Kobo for My Library. The book you just downloaded will appear under "My Documents." Scroll down to the title. Touch "View item details and options." Touch "Read" to begin reading your eBook. You may need to press Check for New Content to display the eBooks you just transferred.
Finding Loan Period for Digital Media- In the Adobe Digital Editions Library, eBooks will display a banner in the upper right corner which tells you how many days until they expire.
- At the end of the lending period, you will no longer be able to read the eBook, but it will appear in your Library until you delete it.
- To delete, select the eBook and click on the arrow in the upper right corner and select the "Delete" option.
The next time you connect your device to your computer it will sync with your Adobe Digital Editions Library to reflect the eBooks you have deleted and delete them from your device. Returning an eBook before the Due Date
- Open Adobe Digital Editions on the computer where you downloaded the eBook.
- Click on the Library View. Titles you have downloaded appear on the right. Click on the small triangle in the upper left corner of the title. Select "Borrowed Item" on the list of options. A dialogue box will pop up. click "Return." The eBook will disappear from your bookshelf in Adobe Digital Editions.
- The next time you log into Overdrive, the eBook will be checked in, and your account will be updated. If you don't return the book early, it will expire on its due date.
Deleting an Expired eBook from Adobe Digital Editions- Open Adobe Digital Editions on the computer where you downloaded the eBook.
- Click on the Library View. Titles you have downloaded appear on the right. Click the small triangle in the upper left corner of the title. Select "Delete" on the list of options.
- You cannot open the eBook after its due date. If it is available, you may download it from Overdrive again, after deleting the expired copy.
Deleting an Ebook from Your Kobo- Open Adobe Digital Editions, and attach the Kobo for a PC, or for a Mac, attach the Kobo, then open Adobe Digital Editions.
- Click on the Kobo icon beneath the bookshelves, You will see a list of books that you have downloaded to your Kobo.
- Click the small triangle in the upper left corner of the title, then select "Delete Item" on the list of options. The eBook will be deleted from your Kobo.

- Open your Finder application.
- Select KoboREader from your list of devices.
Finder should display the contents of your Literati. - In another Finder window, navigate to where you stored the eBooks you want to transfer to your Literati.
- Drag and drop your eBooks into the Literati window.
To disconnect your Literati: - In Finder, select KoboeReader from your list of devices.
- From the File menu, select "Eject KoboeReader". NOTE: If you have an SD card inserted into your Literati, you must eject this too.
- Unplug the USB cable from your Literati and computer.
You can turn on your Literati and find your new books. They will be in the BOOKS area if the files were EPUBs, or in the DOCUMENTS area if they were PDFs. - On the left side of the Sony Reader Library, click on "eBook store". A page opens int he Sony Reader Library. On the top right corner, you want to click "Login into your Account".
- Once you are logged in, click on "Manage Devices".
- Authorize the devices that you want, if this is your first time; make sure to authorize your computer and the Sony eReader so you can download eBooks from Overdrive.
- Once your computer and eBook reader is authorized, you can download eBooks from Overdrive. The .ACSM file downloaded will automatically open by the Sony Reader Library and eBook will be downloaded to your computer. If somehow the Sony Reader Library does not recognize the .ACSM automatically, drag the file into the "Library" on the left column of the Sony Reader Library.
- If you would like to transfer eBooks from your Sony Reader Library to your Sony eReader, just drag the file you like into the "Reader" tab on the left.
Option 2: ADOBE DIGITAL EDITIONSInstallation of Adobe Digital Editions softwareThe following instructions details how to install the Adobe Digital Editions application. These instructions applies to all versions of the Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. The application is installed personally for each individual user. Go to Adobe Digital Editions download page. In the bottom left corner, a button marked “Install” will be displayed. In case this button is not visible, you first need to install Flash Player. Click the “Install” button. Confirm that you want to install Adobe Digital Editions by clicking “Install” once more. Click “Yes” to start the installation of Adobe Digital Editions. Downloading the installation package to your computer may take some time. Once the installation files have been downloaded, the installer application will launch. Click “I Agree” to install these files on your computer. Once the files are installed, Adobe Digital Editions will launch and display a settings dialogue. Click “Continue” to configure Adobe Digital Editions. You will be asked whether you would like to activate your Adobe Digital Editions with your Adobe ID. If you have an Adobe ID, enter your ID and password and click “Authorize Computer”. If you want to create an Adobe ID, click “get an Adobe ID online”. If you do not want to use an Adobe ID, click “Don’t Authorize Computer”. Finally, click “Activate”
ActivationUsing Adobe ID when downloading and activating e-books allows the user to read the e-book on several devices. Without an Adobe ID, it’s only possible to read the book on one device. The following instructions details how to register an Adobe ID. This registration is free of charge. By clicking the “get an Adobe ID online” link in the installation program you will be taken to Adobe’s registration page. Click “Create an Adobe Account”. A form will be displayed. Enter your information into the form; the fields marked with an asterix are mandatory. Once you have entered your information, click “Continue”. If your entered information is valid, a message will be displayed stating that the registration was successful. You can now enter your Adobe ID and password in Adobe Digital Editions and then clicking “Authorize”. All subsequently downloaded e-books will be authorised with your Adobe ID; if you install Digital Editions in an other device and enter the same Adobe ID, it will be possible to copy your books to this other device.
Browsing & Selecting Titles
At the top of your results, you can re-sort by title [default], creator, release date, most popular, or date added to site.
You have 30 minutes to complete your checkout before the eBook is returned to the library's collection.- Browse the CLEVNET eBook collection by:
- Quick Search; or
- Choose Browse eBooks and then narrow your choice by subject; or
- Choose Collections, then pick one of the following: All Adobe PDF, All Adobe EPUB, New--Adobe EPUB Titles, or eBook Newly Available
- Make sure the title is in the correct format.
- Once title is selected to download, click "Add to SelectList" located on the right side of the entry.
Checking Out and Downloading eBook Titles
NOTE: If "Join the Waiting List" is listed as an option, this means all of the electronic copies of the books are in use. To reserve a copy, click "Join the Waiting List" on the right side of the entry. If you are not already logged in, the system will prompt you for your library card number and PIN.- Click "Proceed to Checkout." If not already logged in, the system will prompt you for your library card number and PIN.
- After choosing your lending period, click "Confirm Checkout" and then "Download."
You can manage the lending period using the drop-down menu. Now, transfer the title using the "Download" button under the item. When asked "Do you want to open or save this file, select "Open." The title will automatically open in Adobe Digital Editions. If it doesn't automatically open, locate the downloaded file, which ends in ".acsm", double-click it and select Adobe Digital Editions to open it.
CONNECT READER TO COMPUTERThe first time you do this, you will have to authorize the device with your Adobe ID to be able to transfer protected content to and from the eReader. Transferring an eBook to Your Sony- Click on the Library View (the icon of bookshelves upper left) within Adobe Digital Editions. Titles you have downloaded are listed on the right. If you have a lot of titles, you may click on "Borrowed Items." Drag and drop the title you would like to transfer onto the Sony icon below the Bookshelves.
- You will see the file copy to the Sony. The title is now transferred to the device.
- ON A PC: click "Safely Remove Hardware" icon on the lower right of your monitor. Then click the "Safely Remove USB Mass Storage Device" box. When you see "Safe to Remove Hardware", you may detach the Sony from your computer.
- ON A MAC: Unmount/eject the Sony using the Finder before unplugging. Detach the Sony from your computer.
- Touch the menu icon at the bottom of your Sony for My Library. The book you just downloaded will appear under "My Documents." Scroll down to the title. Touch "View item details and options." Touch "Read" to begin reading your eBook. You may need to press Check for New Content to display the eBooks you just transferred.
Finding Loan Period for Digital Media- In the Adobe Digital Editions Library, eBooks will display a banner in the upper right corner which tells you how many days until they expire.
- At the end of the lending period, you will no longer be able to read the eBook, but it will appear in your Library until you delete it.
- To delete, select the eBook and click on the arrow in the upper right corner and select the "Delete" option.
The next time you connect your device to your computer it will sync with your Adobe Digital Editions Library to reflect the eBooks you have deleted and delete them from your device. Returning an eBook before the Due Date
- Open Adobe Digital Editions on the computer where you downloaded the eBook.
- Click on the Library View. Titles you have downloaded appear on the right. Click on the small triangle in the upper left corner of the title. Select "Borrowed Item" on the list of options. A dialogue box will pop up. click "Return." The eBook will disappear from your bookshelf in Adobe Digital Editions.
- The next time you log into Overdrive, the eBook will be checked in, and your account will be updated. If you don't return the book early, it will expire on its due date.
Deleting an Expired eBook from Adobe Digital Editions- Open Adobe Digital Editions on the computer where you downloaded the eBook.
- Click on the Library View. Titles you have downloaded appear on the right. Click the small triangle in the upper left corner of the title. Select "Delete" on the list of options.
- You cannot open the eBook after its due date. If it is available, you may download it from Overdrive again, after deleting the expired copy.
Deleting an Ebook from Your Sony- Open Adobe Digital Editions, and attach the Sony for a PC, or for a Mac, attach the Sony, then open Adobe Digital Editions.
- Click on the Sony icon beneath the bookshelves, You will see a list of books that you have downloaded to your Sony.
- Click the small triangle in the upper left corner of the title, then select "Delete Item" on the list of options. The eBook will be deleted from your Sony.

- Browse to the location of the CAB installation file on your device.
- Double-click the CAB installation file.
You are prompted to choose to install directly to your device or to a memory card.
- Choose to install OverDrive Media Console for Windows Mobile to your device or to a memory card.
OverDrive Media Console for Windows Mobile is installed.
- You can now download and enjoy OverDrive Media titles on your Windows Mobile device.
