American Fact Finder
The Census Bureau conducts nearly one hundred surveys and censuses every year. By law, no one is permitted to reveal information from these censuses and surveys that could identify any person, household, or business. Data from the following surveys and censuses are available in American FactFinder:
CultureGrams
CultureGrams Online Database links you to all CultureGrams editions, including World, Kids, Provinces, adn States material. This resource includes: worldwide photo gallery, slideshows, video clips, famous people collection, and a recipe collection that offers five homegrown recipes from all countries in the database. Plus, sortable (create-your-own) data tables help put dozens of facts into perspective.
Food Environment Atlas
Published by the USDA’s Economics Research Service, the Food Environment Atlas provides food, health, and demographic information down to the county level. The Atlas assembles statistics on three broad categories of food environment factors: Food Choices—Indicators of the community’s access to and acquisition of healthy, affordable food, such as: access and proximity to a grocery store; number of foodstores and restaurants; expenditures on fast foods; food and nutrition assistance program participation; quantities of foods eaten; food prices; food taxes; and availability of local foods Health and Well-Being—Indicators of the community’s success in maintaining healthy diets, such as: food insecurity; diabetes and obesity rates; and physical activity levels Community Characteristics—Indicators of community characteristics that might influence the food environment, such as: demographic composition; income and poverty; population loss; metro-nonmetro status; natural amenities; and recreation and fitness centers
NEO CANDO Online Database
NEO CANDO is an information sharing network providing a comprehensive collection of demographic data describing the 17 county Northeast Ohio region, or for specific neighborhoods within the region. Data regarding population trends, poverty, employment, educational attainment, housing and crime statistics are available.
