Directions to the Wayne County Public Library
Genealogy and Local History Department

The Wayne County Public Library is located at 220 W. Liberty St. in Wooster, Ohio.  We are on the south side of Liberty St. between Walnut St. and Grant St.

Parking is available behind the library.  You may access the parking lot by way of South St. or Grant St.

From the West from Mansfield:

Take US 30 East to the Columbus Ave. exit. Turn right on Columbus Ave. At the first light, turn right on W. Liberty St.  Travel for about 2 blocks.  The library will be on the right hand side of the street.

From the East from Dalton or Massillon:

Take US 30 West to the Columbus Ave. exit. Turn left on Columbus Ave. At the first light, turn right on W. Liberty St.  Travel for about 2 blocks.  The library will be on the right hand side of the street.

From the North:

Take SR 3 or SR 83 south into Wooster. SR 3 and SR 83 come together. At this intersection, veer to the right toward Quinby Ave. Quinby Ave. becomes N. Market St. Take N. Market St. to the first light (Bowman). Cornerstone Elementary School is on the right. Proceed to the 2 traffic light.  The courthouse will be on the corner.  Turn right onto W. Liberty St.  The library is two blocks and will be on the left hand side of the street.

From the North from Akron or Barberton:

Take US 585 into Wooster. US 585 becomes Bowman St. Continue on Bowman St. for about 1 mile. At the fifth traffic light, make a left onto N. Market St. (Cornerstone Elementary School will be on the corner.) Proceed to the 2 traffic light.  The courthouse will be on the corner.  Turn right onto W. Liberty St.  The library is two blocks and will be on the left hand side of the street.

From the South from Millersburg, Coshocton, Dover, or New Philadelphia:

Take SR 83 north or US 250 west toward Wooster. SR 83 and US 250 merge together and become SR 302. Take SR 302 to E. Liberty St. and make a left onto E. Liberty St.  Follow E. Liberty St. for  2 blocks.  E. Liberty St. becomes W. Liberty St. Follow W. Liberty Street for 2 blocks.  The library in on the left hand side of the street.

From the South from Shreve, Loudonville, or Perrysville:

Take SR 3, SR 226, or SR 95 toward Wooster. Continue on SR 3 north or when traveling SR 226 or SR 95, turn on to SR 3 north. Take SR 3 to Liberty St. W. Make a right on W. Liberty St.  and travel for 2 blocks.  The library is on the right hand side of the street.
