  • The library offers a variety of resources, programs, and services to over 102,000 Wayne County residents through seven public library buildings, two mobile branches, and a homebound delivery service

  • The library is a countywide system supported by the Ohio Public LibraryFund (56%), a local 1 mil levy (40%), and other sources (4%)

  • An appointed seven member Board of Trustees oversees the operation and management of the library

  • Over 682,000 people visited the library

  • There were 52,100 registered library users: 51.10% of the population
     
  • More than 1.86 million items circulated for a total of 18.25 items per capita
     
  • The library’s locations collectively hold over 325,400 books, 29,000 DVD/VCs, 46,000 audio books and CDs, 34,000 e-books for a total of 4.26 items per capita
     
  • The library offered over 2,000 programs that were attended by over 42,300 people

  • The library received over $5.01 million in operating revenue and spent over $4.45 million in expenditures

  • The average cost per item circulated was $2.39.
